To maintain your fashion color longer; wash your hair in very cold water, use sulfate free shampoo and wash your hair less. Also avoid very direct sunlight. If you are going to go into a swimming pool make sure to apply a deep conditioner to wet hair before going in. I personally use a swimming/shower cap.
